Dalit Family Alleges Land Grab Threat
A Dalit family in Andhra Pradesh has accused Markapuram TDP MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy of attempting to forcibly occupy their 40 acres of land and alleged that they have been living under constant fear for their safety.
According to the family, around 150 persons armed with sticks and sharp weapons allegedly attacked them in an effort to seize the land. They claimed they now fear stepping out of their home, alleging that their lives are at risk.
The family said they met the district Collector and submitted a representation seeking protection and justice. They also alleged that they contacted the district Superintendent of Police several times on the same day and lodged a complaint with the local Sub-Inspector. However, they claimed that no effective action has been taken on their complaints so far.
The allegations have sparked attention locally, with the family urging the authorities to intervene and ensure their safety. As of now, there has been no official response from MLA Kandula Narayana Reddy regarding the allegations, and the claims have not been independently verified.
Authorities are expected to examine the complaint and take appropriate action based on the findings of the investigation. The case highlights concerns over alleged land disputes and the need for prompt action whenever such complaints are raised.
