Trump Warns Iran of Fresh Strikes
US President Donald Trump has warned that the United States could launch another round of military strikes against Iran after declaring the interim agreement between the two countries "over." Speaking during the NATO Summit in Ankara, Turkey, Trump said the US had already carried out major strikes on Iranian military targets and could act again if Iran continued its attacks in the Gulf region.
Trump accused Iran of targeting ships in the Strait of Hormuz with drones and missiles, calling Tehran's actions unacceptable. He reiterated that the US would not allow Iran to develop a nuclear weapon and claimed recent military operations had significantly weakened the country's capabilities.
The latest warning comes after the US launched strikes on Iranian assets in Bandar Abbas, Sirik and Qeshm Island in response to alleged attacks on commercial shipping. Washington has also revoked its licence allowing the sale of Iranian oil, increasing economic pressure on Tehran.
Iran has responded with strikes on Bahrain and Kuwait, raising concerns that the conflict could expand across the Middle East. The renewed hostilities have heightened fears of disruptions to global oil supplies and maritime trade through the Strait of Hormuz, one of the world's busiest energy routes. International leaders are closely monitoring the situation as tensions between Washington and Tehran continue to escalate.
