Suicide Blast Hits Coast Guard Camp

A powerful suicide attack targeted a Pakistan Coast Guard camp in the Jiwani Panwan area of Gwadar district in Balochistan, escalating security concerns in the restive province. According to reports, an explosives-laden vehicle rammed into the Coast Guard installation, causing a massive blast.

The banned Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) claimed responsibility for the attack through a statement. The group alleged that 30 paramilitary personnel were killed and several others sustained injuries in the explosion. However, the casualty figures released by the BLA have not been independently verified, and Pakistani authorities had not officially confirmed the death toll at the time of reporting.

Soon after the attack, security forces reportedly cordoned off the area and launched search and clearance operations to prevent further threats. Investigators are expected to examine the site and determine the full extent of the damage caused by the blast.

Balochistan has witnessed frequent attacks by separatist militant groups targeting security forces, government installations and infrastructure projects. The latest incident highlights the continuing insurgency and security challenges facing Pakistan in the strategically important province.

Authorities are expected to release an official statement after completing preliminary investigations, while security has been heightened across sensitive locations in the region following the attack.
