Jyothi Upgraded To World Cup Silver

Jyothi Surekha Vennam has been officially upgraded to the silver medal in the women's compound event at the 2025 Hyundai Archery World Cup Final after the World Archery revised the official medal standings.

According to the updated results, Jyothi, who had originally won the bronze medal at the tournament held in Nanjing on October 18, 2025, has now been promoted to silver. The revision followed the disqualification of Mexico's Marina Bernal for violating anti-doping regulations after a sample collected on September 29, 2025, tested positive under World Archery's anti-doping rules.

With the revised standings, Andrea Becerra retained the gold medal, Jyothi Surekha Vennam moved up to silver, and Ella Gibson was awarded the bronze medal.

The upgraded silver medal adds another milestone to Jyothi's distinguished international career. One of India's most successful compound archers, she has consistently delivered outstanding performances at World Cups and major international championships, further enhancing India's reputation in global archery.
