Ranganath Apologises Before High Court
HYDRA Commissioner Ranganath tendered an unconditional apology before the Telangana High Court in connection with the Lothukunta land dispute, submitting an affidavit expressing regret.
In the affidavit, Ranganath stated that HYDRA had not entered the 40-acre land in Survey Nos. 1 and 2 at Lothukunta. He further claimed that the petitioner had presented incorrect facts before the court regarding the issue.
During the hearing, the High Court noted that 63 contempt of court cases were pending against the HYDRA Commissioner. The bench questioned why such a large number of contempt cases had been registered against a senior official and sought an explanation.
Responding to the court's observations, Ranganath reiterated that he has complete faith in the judiciary and respects the authority of the courts. He also expressed regret through the affidavit over the issues raised in the proceedings.
The High Court, however, questioned the repeated allegations of non-compliance with judicial orders and examined the matter further. The case pertains to the Lothukunta land issue and the implementation of court directions by HYDRA officials.
Further hearings are expected as the court reviews the affidavit and considers the issues related to compliance with its previous orders.
