Constable Dies at DGP Office

A police constable was found dead inside the Director General of Police (DGP) Office premises in Hyderabad after an apparent self-inflicted gunshot injury, according to preliminary police information.

The deceased has been identified as Swami. Officials said the incident reportedly occurred at around 5:30 a.m. in a washroom within the DGP office premises. Colleagues alerted authorities after the incident, and police immediately secured the area.

During the initial investigation, officers recovered a handwritten note believed to have been left by the constable. According to police, the note requested that no blame be placed on his wife and children and expressed his affection and concern for them. Authorities have not yet confirmed the authenticity or legal status of the note.

The body has been shifted for a post-mortem examination, and a case has been registered. Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident, including the contents of the note and other possible factors.

Senior officials visited the scene, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities have stated that further details will be shared after the inquiry and forensic examination are completed.
