Ministers Launch Development Works

Telangana Ministers Ponguleti Srinivasa Reddy and Vakiti Srihari participated in several development programmes in Duppalli village under the Devarakadra Assembly constituency on Tuesday. The ministers inaugurated Indiramma housing units and newly constructed cement concrete (CC) roads, reaffirming the state government's commitment to rural development and public welfare.

Speaking at the event, Minister Vakiti Srihari said the Congress government is implementing the Indiramma Housing Scheme as a mission to ensure every eligible poor family receives a house without political discrimination. He stressed that the government has maintained transparency in the selection process and that no money is being collected from beneficiaries.

The minister highlighted several welfare initiatives, including six kilograms of fine rice per month through ration shops, free bus travel for women in RTC buses, bonus payments for paddy farmers, and the continued implementation of Rythu Bharosa and Rythu Bima schemes. He said the government had procured nearly 80 lakh metric tonnes of paddy by offering bonuses to farmers.

Srihari also assured that the government, under the leadership of Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, would continue development works and complete projects such as the Palamuru–Rangareddy Project. He criticised the previous BRS government for failing to provide double-bedroom houses and neglecting key irrigation and welfare issues during its tenure.
