Modi Announces NEET Review Meeting
Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced that the Union Cabinet will hold a meeting on Friday to discuss the NEET paper leak issue and consider further measures to strengthen the examination system.
Addressing the matter, the Prime Minister said the government is treating the issue with utmost seriousness and that detailed discussions will be held during the Cabinet meeting. He stated that appropriate and stringent decisions would be taken to ensure transparency and restore public confidence in the examination process.
Modi also said that a fast-track court has already been established to expedite legal proceedings related to the alleged paper leak. He added that the investigation is progressing and assured that those found responsible would face action in accordance with the law.
The announcement comes amid nationwide concern over the integrity of competitive examinations and protests by students and opposition parties demanding accountability. The Centre has reiterated its commitment to protecting the interests of students and ensuring fair and transparent recruitment and admission processes.
