Land Dispute Turns Violent Badvel
A land dispute in Gaurishankar Nagar, Badvel, in YSR Kadapa district turned violent after a confrontation between two groups allegedly resulted in an assault on a family.
According to preliminary reports, the dispute involved a plot claimed by Pennam Venkatayya. During the altercation, a woman was allegedly assaulted, and her jacket was torn. The victim's family also alleged that several individuals attacked them during the incident.
The complainants further claimed that TNSF leader Tirumalesh was among those involved in the attack. Venkatayya stated that his family has been residing on the property for the past ten years and has been regularly paying taxes on it, asserting their claim over the land.
The victims also alleged that a group of youths from Badvel and Kadapa damaged the compound wall of their house using crowbars and hammers on the previous evening.
Police have taken note of the incident and are expected to investigate the allegations made by both sides. Officials said legal action will be taken based on the evidence collected during the inquiry. The dispute has heightened tension in the locality, and authorities are monitoring the situation to prevent further escalation.
