Yogandhra 2026 Sets World Record

Andhra Pradesh’s flagship wellness initiative, Yogandhra 2026, has secured a place in the World Book of Records, London, for its massive public participation and statewide yoga movement. The recognition was presented to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, who congratulated the AYUSH Department and all stakeholders involved in the programme’s success.

The campaign surpassed its target of 1.05 crore participants by registering 1.07 crore yoga enthusiasts across the state. More than 7,700 Master Yoga Trainers, 2.61 lakh General Yoga Trainers, and 511 Yoga Gurus were mobilised to conduct training and awareness programmes. Over 1.32 lakh yoga centres were established to accommodate large-scale participation.

The initiative also featured yoga demonstrations, competitions, and events at major tourist destinations, encouraging widespread public engagement. State Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav said the achievement reflected the collective efforts of government departments, trainers, volunteers, and citizens. The recognition marks a major milestone in Andhra Pradesh’s efforts to promote holistic health and make yoga a mass movement.
