JC Challenges YSRCP Leaders Debate
Tadipatri Municipal Chairman J.C. Prabhakar Reddy has challenged YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) leaders to a public debate over issues related to the Handri-Neeva canal.
Reacting to the recent visit by YSRCP leaders to inspect the canal, J.C. Prabhakar Reddy criticized their observations and alleged that they lacked knowledge about the canal's infrastructure, including its gates and sluices. He claimed that the opposition leaders were making statements without understanding the technical aspects of the irrigation project.
Throwing an open challenge, the Tadipatri Municipal Chairman said that if the YSRCP leaders were confident in their claims, they should participate in a public debate with him on the functioning and management of the Handri-Neeva canal.
The remarks come amid political exchanges between the ruling coalition and the opposition over irrigation projects and water management in Andhra Pradesh. Leaders from both sides have been making allegations and counter-allegations regarding the maintenance and operation of canals.
The YSRCP has not yet officially responded to J.C. Prabhakar Reddy's challenge. The issue is expected to generate further political debate in the coming days.
