Four Killed in Palnadu Crash
Four people lost their lives and several others were injured in a tragic road accident near Nagaravanam in Macherla town of Palnadu district on Friday. The mishap occurred when a Tata Sumo (Tuofan) vehicle carrying passengers rammed into a stationary lorry parked along the roadside.
According to preliminary information, the impact of the collision was severe, leaving four occupants dead on the spot. Several other passengers sustained injuries and were immediately shifted to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. Their condition is being closely monitored by doctors.
Police personnel rushed to the accident site soon after receiving information and launched rescue operations with the help of local residents. The damaged vehicle was removed to restore traffic on the route, while officials began an investigation to determine the exact cause of the accident.
Authorities identified the deceased as residents of Hyderabad. Further details regarding their identities are yet to be officially released. Police are examining whether overspeeding, poor visibility, or other factors contributed to the collision.
