Four Killed in Highway Crash
Four people were killed in a tragic road accident after a car reportedly lost control and rammed into a lorry on the Anandapuram–Anakapalli National Highway near Gandigundam in Visakhapatnam district during the early hours of the day.
According to preliminary reports, five people were travelling in the car when the accident occurred. The impact of the collision was so severe that four occupants died on the spot.
One of the survivors, identified as Chandrasekhar, Personal Assistant (PA) to the Narasaraopet MLA, sustained serious injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Initial reports indicate that Chandrasekhar's son is among those who lost their lives in the accident.
Police and emergency personnel reached the spot soon after receiving information and shifted the victims to a hospital. A case has been registered, and an investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause of the accident. Officials are examining whether overspeeding, driver error, or other factors contributed to the crash.
The incident caused temporary disruption to traffic on the national highway before authorities cleared the damaged vehicles and restored normal movement.
