Crime Has No Caste: Pawan Kalyan
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan asserted that criminals should be identified by their actions and not by their caste, stressing that law and order remains a top priority for the coalition government. Addressing the “Mana Ooru Maata Manthi” programme in Kakinada, he urged society to rise above caste divisions and work towards a peaceful and progressive state.
Pawan Kalyan said crime has no caste, religion, or community and warned against attempts to justify criminal acts on social grounds. He stated that individuals with criminal backgrounds should not be allowed to occupy positions of power, as it could threaten society and democratic institutions. He also emphasized that anyone found guilty of disturbing public peace or misusing political influence would face strict legal action.
Expressing concern over threats and harassment on social media, especially against women, the Deputy Chief Minister said freedom of expression must be respected, but abuse and intimidation would not be tolerated. He called on police officials to act without fear or political pressure and reaffirmed the government's commitment to transparency, accountability, and the rule of law.
Pawan Kalyan also encouraged citizens to participate in safeguarding democratic values and supporting law enforcement efforts to ensure peace, development, and social harmony in Andhra Pradesh.
