YouTuber Prashna Ravan Arrested Again
YouTuber Bachalakuri Joseph, popularly known as Prashna Ravan, was taken into custody again by the Sarpavaram Police in Andhra Pradesh's Kakinada district on Thursday, just hours after securing bail in an earlier case.
The fresh case relates to allegations that Ravan uploaded videos in 2025 concerning a dispute at a school in Gollaprolu mandal. Police said he was detained after allegedly failing to cooperate with the ongoing investigation. He is expected to be produced before a local court.
Ravan had been granted bail on Wednesday night in a separate case registered on the complaint of Jana Sena leader Bojja Kumar. That case arose from a Dalit Christians' public meeting held in Eluru on June 28, where he allegedly made derogatory remarks against Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan.
Following a complaint filed on June 29, police arrested Ravan in Hyderabad on Tuesday and brought him to Pithapuram Police Station. Multiple cases were reportedly registered against him under various legal provisions.
With the fresh case filed by the Sarpavaram Police, the YouTuber continues to face legal proceedings despite obtaining bail in the earlier case. Police said investigations into both matters are ongoing.
