Telangana High Court Grants Conditional Bail to Rohit Reddy

The Telangana High Court has granted conditional bail to former BRS MLA Pilot Rohit Reddy in connection with a drug case linked to a farmhouse in Moinabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad. The court issued its आदेश on Tuesday, offering interim relief while the investigation remains underway.

The case dates back to the night of March 14, when the Telangana Police’s anti-narcotics wing, EAGLE, conducted a raid along with local police based on specific intelligence inputs regarding an alleged drug party. The operation took place at a farmhouse reportedly owned by Rohit Reddy.

During the raid, officials recovered suspected narcotic substances and detained 11 individuals present at the venue. Among those taken into custody was Putta Mahesh Kumar. Preliminary drug tests conducted at the spot reportedly indicated positive results for multiple individuals, including Rohit Reddy, his brother Ritesh Reddy, and Namit Sharma.

Following the incident, police registered a case under relevant provisions of law and launched a detailed investigation to trace the source of the substances and determine how the gathering was organised. Authorities are also examining the roles of all individuals present at the event.

With the High Court granting conditional bail, Rohit Reddy has received temporary relief from custody. However, the specific conditions attached to the bail order have not been disclosed. Officials confirmed that the investigation is ongoing and further action will depend on the evidence collected.
