Seven Fishermen Missing At Sea

Seven fishermen who ventured into the sea from Visakhapatnam Harbour have gone missing, raising concerns among their families and local authorities.

According to reports, the fishermen set out for fishing on July 1 from Visakhapatnam Harbour. On Saturday afternoon, they informed their family members that they were returning to shore due to adverse weather conditions. However, they have not reached the coast, and their whereabouts remain unknown.

The missing fishermen include six persons from Bhogapuram in Vizianagaram district and one fisherman from the Bheemili area of Visakhapatnam district.

With no contact established since their last communication, anxious family members are awaiting information about their safety. Authorities have been alerted, and efforts are expected to intensify to trace the missing fishermen. Adverse weather conditions are believed to have hampered their return journey.

The incident has caused widespread concern in the coastal communities, where fishermen frequently face risks due to rough sea conditions. Families have appealed to the authorities to launch an extensive search operation and ensure the safe rescue of the missing men at the earliest.
