Satwiksairaj Calls on Lokesh

Renowned badminton player Satwiksairaj Rankireddy paid a courtesy visit to Andhra Pradesh HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh at his residence in Undavalli on Wednesday.

Lokesh congratulated Satwiksairaj for his outstanding achievements in international badminton and for bringing recognition to both India and Andhra Pradesh. Hailing from Amalapuram in Ambedkar Konaseema district, Satwiksairaj is a recipient of the prestigious Arjuna Award and Major Dhyan Chand Khel Ratna Award. He has represented India at the highest level and won several international medals.

The minister praised the shuttler’s recent performances, including his success at the Thomas Cup, and noted that he had previously achieved the world number one ranking in men’s doubles. He assured the player of the state government’s continued support for his sporting career and future endeavours.

SAAP Chairman Animini Ravi Naidu and Managing Director S. Bharani were also present during the meeting.
