Sanjay Jaju Appointed Telangana CS

The Central Government has approved the appointment of Sanjay Jaju as the next Chief Secretary of Telangana, following a request from the state government. The Centre has issued orders repatriating the senior IAS officer from central deputation to his parent cadre in Telangana, paving the way for him to assume the state's top bureaucratic position.

Sanjay Jaju is currently serving as Secretary in the Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, where he has been overseeing key developmental initiatives for the northeastern states. With extensive administrative experience at both the state and central levels, Jaju is expected to play a crucial role in implementing the Telangana government's policies and development agenda.

The appointment gains significance as the tenure of the current Chief Secretary, K. Ramakrishna Rao, is scheduled to conclude on June 30. The state government had reportedly sought the early repatriation of Jaju to ensure a smooth transition in the administration.

The Centre's approval and subsequent transfer order have cleared the final procedural hurdle for Jaju's return to Telangana. Senior officials believe his experience in governance, infrastructure development, and policy implementation will be valuable in steering the state's administrative machinery and coordinating major government programmes in the coming years.
