President Murmu to Visit Visakhapatnam
President Droupadi Murmu is scheduled to visit Visakhapatnam on Tuesday to attend the convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University. Ahead of her visit, the Andhra Pradesh Home Minister personally reviewed the security and logistical arrangements to ensure the event proceeds smoothly.
The President will stay at a private hotel on RK Beach during her visit. The decision has sparked discussion, as government guest houses are available in the city. Responding to the issue, the Home Minister clarified that the accommodation was arranged strictly in accordance with the President's Secretariat's decision and protocol requirements.
In view of the high-profile visit, authorities have deployed extensive security measures across Visakhapatnam. Police personnel and other security agencies have intensified surveillance at key locations, including the airport, event venue, and the President's accommodation. Traffic restrictions and additional security checks are also expected to be in place to ensure a safe and hassle-free visit.
