Naidu Stresses Skill Development

Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Friday emphasised that skill development is essential for sustaining industrial growth and creating employment while inaugurating several industrial and infrastructure projects in Kuppam constituency.

During his visit to Pogurupalle village, Naidu inaugurated the ₹200-crore ABIS Proteins greenfield poultry and chicken processing unit, developed over 30.75 acres. The project is expected to generate around 1,400 jobs, including 700 direct and 700 indirect employment opportunities. He also inaugurated the APIIC-developed MSME Park spread across 44.58 acres, where 167 industrial plots will soon be allotted to promote small and medium enterprises.

The Chief Minister launched a ₹28-crore rooftop solar project benefiting 7,489 SC and ST families and dedicated five RESCO power substations built at a cost of ₹25 crore. Addressing the Swarna Kuppam – Investment Platform meeting, Naidu announced that 30 industries with a combined investment of ₹9,321 crore would be established in Kuppam, creating thousands of direct and indirect jobs.

He said Kuppam is rapidly emerging as an industrial destination, attracting investments in sectors such as footwear, battery technology, biotechnology and aviation training. Urging youth to become job creators instead of job seekers, Naidu stressed that industry-specific skill development would be the key to Andhra Pradesh’s economic growth and future employment generation.
