Naidu Pushes Healthy Andhra Vision

Guntur, June 3: Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu said that a wealthy nation can only be built on the foundation of healthy citizens, reiterating the government’s vision of a “Healthy, Wealthy, and Happy Andhra Pradesh.” He made these remarks while inaugurating the Lalitha PVS Hospital in Guntur district.

Naidu praised the newly established 600-bed, seven-acre multi-specialty hospital offering 32 medical specialities under one roof. He said the facility would provide quality healthcare services to poor and middle-class families, ensuring accessible and affordable treatment. The event was attended by Minister Satyakumar Yadav, elected representatives, and local leaders.

The Chief Minister announced the rollout of the ‘Sanjeevani’ healthcare programme across the state, which is currently in its pilot phase in Chittoor district. The initiative focuses on predictive, preventive, and curative care and will provide 42 types of medical tests at citizens’ doorsteps along with digital health records for every individual.

He also revealed plans for a Universal Health Policy that would offer free medical treatment up to ₹2.5 lakh per person. Emphasizing preventive healthcare, Naidu urged citizens to adopt healthy food habits, reduce chemical fertilizer usage, and follow regular exercise routines, including yoga.

He said Andhra Pradesh aims to become a leading healthcare destination by integrating advanced medical technology and strengthening hospital infrastructure across the state.
