Lokesh Tours Krishna District

Andhra Pradesh HRD and IT Minister Nara Lokesh undertook a comprehensive tour of Krishna district on Wednesday, combining religious activities, party outreach and direct interaction with local communities.

The day began with a visit to the revered Sri Subrahmanyeswara Swamy Temple at Mopidevi in Avanigadda constituency, where Lokesh offered special prayers and participated in temple rituals. He later attended a Telugu Desam Party workers’ meeting in Avanigadda, where he interacted with party cadre and discussed organisational strengthening, grassroots engagement and future political strategies.

As part of the tour, Lokesh travelled to Puligadda and met fisherfolk families to understand their livelihood conditions and challenges. Travelling by boat, he reviewed local issues affecting fishing communities and listened to their concerns. He assured them of continued support and highlighted the coalition government’s focus on welfare programmes and development initiatives aimed at improving living standards.

Addressing party workers and local residents during the visit, Lokesh reiterated the stability of the ruling alliance and stressed the importance of strengthening the party at the grassroots level. He said the government remained committed to balanced development, welfare measures and economic growth across the state.

The tour reflected the government’s emphasis on community engagement, public welfare and organisational outreach in key regions of Andhra Pradesh.
