Karnataka Leaders Invite CM Naidu
A delegation led by Karnataka Minor Irrigation Minister N. S. Boseraju met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat and invited him to attend the inauguration of the new gates of the Tungabhadra Project on June 25.
The delegation, which included MLA Basavaraju and MLC Basavanna Gowda, discussed irrigation and inter-state water issues with the Chief Minister. Later, they also met Andhra Pradesh Water Resources Minister Nimmala Ramanaidu.
During the discussions, leaders recalled the 2024 floods when emergency repairs helped save 80 TMC of water after a dam gate was damaged. Ramanaidu said ₹51 crore was spent to replace 33 gates in a single season, strengthening the Tungabhadra Project’s infrastructure.
