Whether one agrees or not, Jana Sena is widely seen as a party dominated by the Kapu community. It has struggled to expand beyond the combined Godavari districts, particularly in regions dominated by Kamma and Reddy communities. Therefore, Pawan Kalyan is expected to give priority to strengthening the party in those regions through a strategic plan. While he made compromises in the previous elections for specific objectives, this time he is likely to demand a significantly higher number of seats.
To increase its numerical strength, North Andhra appears to be the most promising region. Areas with a strong presence of East Kapu and tribal communities, along with Visakhapatnam urban—where caste and regional factors are less influential—are considered favorable. Although Jana Sena secured 21 seats earlier, it still lacks adequate representation in Srikakulam, Visakhapatnam, and Alluri districts.
In recent months, Pawan Kalyan has been focusing heavily on Visakhapatnam, indicating a clear shift towards North Andhra. He has been frequently visiting the Araku agency area, trying to connect with tribal communities. As Deputy Chief Minister, he holds key portfolios such as Panchayat Raj, Rural Development, Rural Water Supply, Environment, Forests, Science, and Technology. Using this opportunity, he launched the “Adavi Baata” initiative, aimed at constructing roads across 652 villages with an estimated cost of ₹1,000 crore.
There is growing speculation that Jana Sena may demand seats like Araku, Paderu, Kurupam, and Palakonda in the upcoming elections. Social dynamics, local leadership factors, and political calculations are influencing these demands. However, the party still lacks a strong organizational structure in many parts of the region.
Despite these challenges, political observers believe that Pawan Kalyan’s personal image is gradually rising. His active outreach, governance responsibilities, and focused regional strategy are enhancing his visibility and influence. Whether this momentum will translate into electoral success remains to be seen.
