Housewarming Ceremony Turns Violent
A housewarming ceremony in Boduppal's Devender Nagar under Medipally Police Station limits in Medchal district turned into a scene of chaos and violence after a group of around 40 to 50 unidentified men allegedly stormed the house and launched a brutal attack on the family and guests.
According to victims, the assailants forcibly entered the residence while the Grihapravesam (housewarming) celebrations were underway. Armed with sticks and stones, they allegedly attacked everyone present without discrimination. Women, children, and elderly family members were also assaulted, leaving several people with serious injuries.
What was meant to be a joyous occasion quickly turned into a blood-soaked tragedy as panicked guests tried to escape the violent assault. Family members and relatives attending the event sustained multiple injuries and were rushed for medical treatment.
Police reached the spot soon after receiving information about the incident and brought the situation under control. The injured were shifted to nearby hospitals, while officers began collecting evidence and recording statements from eyewitnesses.
Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify those involved in the attack. Police are examining whether the incident was triggered by personal rivalry, property-related disputes, or any other motive. Further details are expected after the investigation progresses.
