Highway Attack Ends In Tragedy
A shocking incident took place on the highway near Tumakuru, where a 30-year-old man allegedly attacked a young woman with a knife before dying in a car fire. The accused, identified as Nagendra from Bengaluru, reportedly stabbed the woman while both were inside a car.
According to preliminary information, Nagendra allegedly ignited a petrol bomb inside the vehicle after the attack, causing the car to catch fire within moments. The flames quickly spread, completely engulfing the vehicle. Nagendra was trapped inside and died in the blaze.
Despite suffering serious injuries, the young woman managed to open the car door and escape before the fire intensified. She was rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment, and doctors are closely monitoring her condition.
Police and emergency personnel reached the spot soon after receiving information, extinguished the fire, and shifted the burnt vehicle from the highway. A case has been registered, and investigators are examining the sequence of events and the possible motive behind the attack.
