Ambati Targets Chandrababu At YSRCP Protest

Guntur: Former Andhra Pradesh minister and YSRCP leader Ambati Rambabu launched a sharp attack on Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu during a YSRCP protest programme held in Guntur on Friday.

Participating in the dharna organised under the slogan “Two Years of Betrayal,” Ambati accused the Telugu Desam Party government of failing to fulfil its promises and alleged that the administration had betrayed the people of Andhra Pradesh. During his speech, he made controversial remarks against Chandrababu Naidu, triggering heated exchanges at the protest venue.

Tensions escalated when police personnel attempted to intervene and maintain order. Ambati engaged in a verbal argument with police officials, questioning their actions and accusing the government of suppressing democratic protests. The confrontation briefly created a tense atmosphere at the dharna site.

YSRCP leaders and supporters raised slogans against the state government, alleging that public welfare had been neglected over the past two years. They demanded that the government address issues concerning employment, welfare schemes, and development projects.

Police maintained a strong presence at the venue to prevent any untoward incidents. The protest concluded peacefully despite the exchange of words between Ambati and law enforcement officials.

The incident has once again intensified the political war of words between the ruling TDP and the opposition YSR Congress Party in Andhra Pradesh.
