US Crash Sparks Scam Probe

The death of an Andhra Pradesh woman in a road accident in the United States has taken a dramatic turn after investigators began examining possible links to an alleged ₹1,400-crore investment scam.

Prasanna, daughter of Atluri Vasantha Rao and Malliswari from Mulapadu village in NTR district, recently died in a road accident in the US. While her death was initially reported as an accident, police are now investigating whether she had any connection to the alleged financial fraud.

According to investigators, a company operating under the name Share Bazar Kisan Parivar allegedly collected deposits from investors and defrauded them of nearly ₹1,400 crore. The alleged mastermind, Bhupal Naik, has already been arrested by Gujarat Police, and the investigation is ongoing.

Officials suspect that Prasanna's name appeared in company documents as a director, with her signature reportedly present on certain agreement papers. Investigators are now trying to determine the nature of her involvement and whether she knowingly participated in the company's operations.

Authorities have not established any direct link between her death and the fraud case. However, the emergence of her name during the investigation has raised several questions. Police are continuing to examine financial records and other evidence to determine the full extent of the alleged scam.
