Tiger Movement Triggers Panic Ashwaraopeta

Residents of Aswaraopeta are on high alert following reports of a tiger roaming in the Kavadigundla forest area. The movement of the big cat has created fear among villagers after it reportedly attacked and killed a bull belonging to local farmer Bhimaraju near the village limits.

Soon after receiving information about the incident, officials from the Telangana Forest Department visited the area and inspected the site. They identified tiger pugmarks and confirmed the presence of the animal. Officials are closely tracking the tiger's movements using signals from the radio collar fitted around its neck, enabling them to monitor its location and prevent any potential human-wildlife conflict.

Forest authorities have advised residents, particularly farmers and cattle grazers, to remain vigilant and avoid entering forest areas alone. People have also been urged to keep livestock in secure enclosures and immediately inform officials if the tiger is spotted again.

The Forest Department has intensified surveillance in and around the affected villages and is coordinating with local authorities to ensure public safety. Officials have assured residents that continuous monitoring is underway and that appropriate measures will be taken to prevent further incidents while ensuring the safe management of the protected wild animal.
