Three Killed in Vijayawada Bypass Road Crash

Three people lost their lives and two others suffered serious injuries in a devastating road accident on the Vijayawada Bypass Road on Tuesday. The mishap occurred when a lorry travelling from Vijayawada towards Eluru rammed into the rear of a container truck moving in the same direction.

The impact of the collision was so severe that a car and a scooter travelling between the two heavy vehicles were crushed, leaving three occupants dead on the spot. The accident caused panic among commuters and led to heavy traffic congestion on the busy bypass road.

Local residents and passers-by rushed to the scene and alerted the police and emergency services. Rescue personnel extricated the trapped victims from the mangled vehicles before shifting the injured to a nearby hospital for treatment. Their condition is reported to be critical.

Police reached the spot, cleared the damaged vehicles and restored traffic after several hours. A case has been registered, and an investigation is underway to determine the exact cause of the accident. Officials suspect that negligent driving or overspeeding may have contributed to the crash, though the precise circumstances will be established after the investigation is completed.
