Sedition-Linked Case Filed Against Ravana
A case has been registered against Prashna Ravana at the Gannavaram Police Station following a complaint filed by Jana Sena leader and Andhra Pradesh Road Development Corporation Director Garikapati Shivashankar.
According to police, the FIR was registered soon after Shivashankar lodged the complaint on Saturday. The case has been booked under Sections 147, 148, 152, 192, 197(1)(d), and 353(1)(b) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), along with Sections 13 and 39 of the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act, 1967 (UAPA).
The complaint alleges that Prashna Ravana engaged in activities that threatened the sovereignty and integrity of the country, promoted hatred within society, and disrupted public order. The FIR also includes allegations of involvement in unlawful activities and actions intended to incite anti-national and rebellious behaviour.
Police have initiated an investigation into the allegations. Further legal action will depend on the outcome of the investigation and the evidence collected during the course of the probe.
