Saikrishna Case CCTV Footage Missing

A fresh controversy has emerged in the Gade Saikrishna disappearance case after SIT officials reportedly found that crucial CCTV footage from the Krishna Lanka Police Station had gone missing.

According to sources, CCTV recordings between May 1 and June 1, a period considered vital to the investigation, were unavailable. Officials suspect that then Circle Inspector Nagaraju retained footage for only two days during the month, despite court directions issued recently mandating that CCTV recordings be preserved for at least 30 days.

The missing footage is believed to be important in establishing key developments related to the disappearance of Gade Saikrishna. SIT investigators are examining whether the deletion or non-preservation of the recordings was deliberate.

The development has sparked suspicions that evidence linked to the case may have been destroyed or concealed. Investigators are reportedly looking into the circumstances under which the footage disappeared and whether any officials were involved in violating record-retention norms.

The alleged loss of CCTV data has intensified scrutiny of the police station's handling of the case. Authorities are expected to determine responsibility and assess the impact of the missing footage on the ongoing investigation into Saikrishna’s disappearance.
