Revanth Targets Jagadish Reddy
Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy launched a sharp political attack on BRS MLA Jagadish Reddy during a public meeting held in Nalgonda on Sunday. Addressing party workers and supporters, the Chief Minister made a controversial remark while referring to the Suryapet MLA, stating that "not even the lone remaining person in Suryapet would be spared," comparing the situation to a cannabis plant growing in a sacred Tulasi garden. The statement immediately drew political attention and sparked fresh debate across Telangana.
Revanth Reddy also claimed that several young people had expressed confidence in Congress leader Venkanna and assured him that they would work to strengthen the party's position in Suryapet. According to the Chief Minister, the youth are determined to re-establish Congress' political influence in the constituency and are actively preparing for future electoral battles.
The comments came during the Chief Minister's visit to Nalgonda, where he participated in multiple development programmes, including the launch of key drinking water and road infrastructure projects. His political remarks, however, overshadowed the official events and quickly became the focus of public discussion.
The exchange is expected to intensify the political rivalry between the ruling Congress and the opposition BRS, particularly in the Nalgonda and Suryapet regions, where both parties continue to compete for strong grassroots support.
