PM To Launch Employment Scheme Event

The Ministry of Labour and Employment will hold a national event for the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana (PM-VBRY) at Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi on Friday in the presence of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. During the programme, incentives worth approximately ₹2,400 crore will be disbursed to beneficiaries through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT), providing a major boost to employment generation and formal workforce expansion across the country.

The scheme is expected to benefit more than 15 lakh individuals by encouraging first-time employment and supporting employers who create new jobs. Around 1,200 participants, including employers, employees, industry representatives, and government officials, will attend the main event. Prime Minister Modi is also scheduled to interact with beneficiaries from various regions of the country.

Union Labour and Employment Minister Mansukh Mandaviya and Minister of State Shobha Karandlaje will participate in the programme. Simultaneous regional events will be organized at nearly 200 locations nationwide, with an estimated participation of 65,000 to 70,000 people.

In Andhra Pradesh, a regional programme will be held at JKC College Auditorium in Guntur. With a total outlay of ₹99,446 crore, the PM-VBRY aims to generate more than 3.5 crore jobs over the next two years, strengthening formal employment opportunities and contributing to India's economic growth.
