Pawan Releases Farmer Aid in Kakinada
Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan on Saturday released the first installment of financial assistance under the Annadata Sukhibhava–PM Kisan scheme for the 2026-27 financial year in Kakinada district. As part of the programme, around 2.73 lakh farmer families received ₹99.58 crore directly into their bank accounts.
Speaking at the Mana Ooru Maata Manthi programme, Pawan Kalyan said supporting farmers and strengthening the rural economy remain key priorities of the coalition government. Under the scheme, eligible farmers receive ₹7,000 in the first installment, including ₹2,000 from the Centre under PM-Kisan and ₹5,000 from the State Government.
He noted that the combined annual assistance of ₹20,000 per farmer family reflects the government's commitment to farmer welfare despite financial challenges. The Deputy Chief Minister assured continued support to the farming community and rural development initiatives.
