NTA Confirms NEET UG Re-Test

The National Testing Agency (NTA) has confirmed that the NEET-UG re-test will be conducted on June 21 as scheduled and stated that all necessary arrangements have been completed to ensure its smooth and fair conduct. In an official message, the agency urged candidates to remain calm, avoid rumours, and rely only on information released through official channels.

The NTA advised students not to be influenced by unverified social media posts claiming that the examination may be postponed. It emphasized that extensive multi-layered security measures have been put in place in coordination with central ministries, state governments, and security agencies to prevent any irregularities during the examination process.

Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan reviewed the preparedness for the examination and reiterated that the revised system has been strengthened following earlier controversies. He warned that strict action would be taken against any attempts at malpractice.

The agency also encouraged students to focus on their preparations, get adequate rest, and approach the examination with confidence. Candidates facing stress or anxiety have been advised to contact the MANAS mental health helpline at 14416 for support.

The re-test is being conducted after the May 3 NEET-UG examination was cancelled following allegations of a question paper leak. A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) probe into the matter is currently underway.
