Narayana Reviews Bridge Construction in Amaravati
Andhra Pradesh Municipal Administration Minister P. Narayana conducted an inspection of ongoing bridge construction works in Amaravati, reviewing key infrastructure projects being developed as part of the capital city’s expansion. During his visit, the minister examined bridges being built across Kondaveeti Vagu and Pala Vagu and assessed the progress of construction activities.
Officials from the Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) informed the minister that a total of 43 bridges are being constructed across various streams and water channels in Amaravati. In addition, 26 bridges are being developed within Land Pooling Scheme (LPS) layouts to improve connectivity and support the city’s planned growth.
Narayana emphasized the importance of ensuring that all bridge structures are designed to facilitate uninterrupted water flow, particularly during the monsoon season. He instructed officials to take all necessary precautions to prevent waterlogging, flooding, or obstructions that could affect nearby areas during periods of heavy rainfall.
The minister also directed engineering teams to maintain construction quality standards and complete the projects within the stipulated timelines. The bridge network is expected to play a crucial role in strengthening transportation links, improving accessibility, and supporting the overall infrastructure development of Amaravati as the state’s capital city.
