Naidu Shares Ragi Malt With Children
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu had a heartwarming interaction with children at an Anganwadi Centre in Linganguntla village of Palnadu district on Friday, sitting on the floor with them and sharing a bowl of nutritious ragi malt. The visit highlighted the government’s focus on child nutrition, maternal welfare, and early childhood education.
Before attending the Swachh Andhra-Swarna Andhra and Annadata Sukhibhava programmes, Naidu reviewed the nutritional food being provided to children and enquired about services offered to pregnant women and lactating mothers. As part of the State’s Net Zero initiative, he distributed an induction stove and steel utensils to the centre. The government is supplying such facilities to all 44,346 Anganwadi centres across Andhra Pradesh at a cost of ₹32 crore to encourage cleaner and energy-efficient cooking.
In a special moment, an Anganwadi helper prepared ragi malt using the newly installed induction stove, and the Chief Minister joined the children to share the nutritious drink. He also planted a sapling on the premises to promote environmental awareness and sustainability.
Chilakaluripet MLA Pattipati Pullarao, Palnadu District Collector Krithika Shukla, and other officials accompanied the Chief Minister during the visit.
