Naidu Distributes Land Pattas
Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu distributed land ownership (DKT) pattas to 322 families in Kangundi village of Kuppam Assembly constituency, ending a wait of more than 60 years for legal ownership.
The beneficiaries, who had cultivated the land for generations without ownership rights, received title deeds for 460.19 acres. Naidu also unveiled a plaque commemorating the land distribution. He said the long-pending issue was resolved after a detailed review of land records and the State Cabinet's approval to convert forest poramboke land into assigned waste dry land.
Describing the initiative as a milestone in social justice, the Chief Minister said the government is committed to resolving all land disputes in Andhra Pradesh within a year. He also highlighted the recent settlement of land issues in Shettipalli and Vatticherukuru.
Criticising the previous YSRCP government, Naidu alleged it created several land disputes and replaced official identity on pattadar passbooks with political images. He said the present government has restored passbooks carrying the State emblem.
Naidu reiterated that there would be no place for rowdyism in Andhra Pradesh and promised to attract investments and create employment opportunities. He also announced plans to develop Kuppam as a tourism hub while promoting solar energy, women's entrepreneurship, and the "Clean Kuppam – Golden Kuppam" vision.
