Keshineni Nani Seeks ED Probe Into Chinni
Vijayawada: Former Vijayawada MP Keshineni Nani has reportedly written to the Enforcement Directorate (ED), demanding an investigation into the alleged financial dealings of Vijayawada MP Keshineni Sivanath and members of his family.
In his letter, Nani urged the central agency to conduct an urgent probe under the Prevention of Money Laundering Act (PMLA) into the financial network allegedly linked to Chinni, his wife Janaki Lakshmi, and son Venkat Chowdary. He sought a detailed examination of their financial transactions and business links to determine whether any irregularities had occurred.
The former MP also referred to allegations made by TDP MLA Kolikapudi Srinivasa Rao, who had claimed that ₹5 crore was allegedly collected in connection with the allocation of a party ticket. Nani requested that these allegations be independently investigated and verified by the concerned authorities.
Further, the letter reportedly called for a probe into transactions involving Sunkara Ramachandra Rao and Bollineni Mohan Rao. Nani asked investigators to examine fund transfers made to their accounts and ascertain whether the transactions violated any financial regulations.
The development has added a new dimension to the ongoing political controversy in Andhra Pradesh, with the allegations likely to intensify the debate within political circles in the coming days.
