IndiGo Adds Vijayawada Flight Services
IndiGo will launch new flight services connecting Vijayawada International Airport with Varanasi and Kolkata from August 13, enhancing air connectivity for passengers, tourists, and business travellers.
The official launch poster was unveiled by Kandula Durgesh at his camp office in Vijayawada. Welcoming the new services, the minister said the direct flights would reduce travel time while boosting tourism, trade, and economic activity in Andhra Pradesh.
According to IndiGo officials, the flights will operate three days a week—Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Flight 6E 6501 will depart Varanasi at 3:55 pm and arrive in Vijayawada at 5:50 pm. The return flight, 6E 6502, will leave Vijayawada at 6:20 pm and reach Varanasi at 8:15 pm. The service will also provide connectivity to Kolkata via Varanasi.
The new routes are expected to improve travel convenience for pilgrims, business travellers, and tourists while strengthening Vijayawada's air network. Representatives from IndiGo, including AP Sales Manager Mohit Krishna and Assistant Manager (Operations) Subhani, attended the launch event.
