Heavy Rush Continues at Tirumala

Heavy devotee rush continued at Tirumala on Friday, with pilgrims experiencing long waiting hours for the darshan of Lord Venkateswara. According to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD), devotees without Sarva Darshan tokens are required to wait for nearly 24 hours to have darshan due to the large influx of pilgrims.

TTD officials stated that 62,925 devotees had darshan of the presiding deity on Thursday. The temple also witnessed a significant number of devotees participating in the traditional tonsuring ritual, with 36,297 pilgrims offering their hair as a mark of devotion.

The Srivari Hundi continued to receive substantial offerings, with donations amounting to ₹3.77 crore in a single day. Officials said the steady inflow of devotees has kept queue complexes crowded, prompting authorities to maintain extensive crowd management and devotee service arrangements.

TTD has deployed additional staff to ensure smooth movement of pilgrims and provide essential amenities, including drinking water, sanitation facilities, medical assistance, and security services. Authorities have advised devotees to plan their pilgrimage accordingly and cooperate with officials to ensure orderly darshan.

The temple administration continues to monitor the situation closely and is taking necessary measures to facilitate a safe and comfortable pilgrimage experience amid the sustained rush at the hill shrine.
