Health Staff Allege Promotion Irregularities in Zone II

Rajamahendravaram, June 30: Employees of the Public Health Department in Zone II have alleged serious irregularities and undue delays in the implementation of promotions, claiming the issue has affected the careers and financial benefits of several eligible staff members. According to employees, the delay has resulted in the loss of seniority, salary benefits and career advancement opportunities while leaving key administrative posts vacant.

They stated that the final seniority list of Male Multi-Purpose Health Supervisors (MPHS-M) for promotion to the post of Multi-Purpose Health Extension Officer (MPHEO) had already been prepared and communicated by the Office of the Regional Director of Medical and Health Services. Despite this, and even after approvals from the Departmental Promotion Committee, promotion orders have reportedly not been issued.

Employees have urged the Andhra Pradesh government to immediately fill pending vacancies in posts such as MPHEO, District Health Education Officer (DHEO) and Assistant Malaria Officer (AMO). They also demanded action against officials responsible for the delay.

Meanwhile, employees alleged that two staff members, identified as Kumar and Satish, were collecting money from employees by promising promotions. They called for a fair and transparent inquiry into the allegations and strict action against anyone found violating service rules. They said employee rights must be protected and promotions should be implemented without further delay.
