Durgesh Promotes AP Tourism, Film Industry
Andhra Pradesh Tourism Minister Kandula Durgesh highlighted the state's vast tourism potential and called for the development of world-class film infrastructure to attract investments in the entertainment sector.
Speaking at an event, the minister said Andhra Pradesh's 974-kilometre coastline offers breathtaking natural beauty that is unmatched in neighbouring Telangana. He stressed that the state's scenic beaches and coastal landscapes provide immense opportunities for tourism and film production.
Durgesh said the government is keen to encourage the establishment of film studios in Andhra Pradesh, similar to those in Hyderabad. He assured that the state government would extend full support to organisations and investors willing to create the infrastructure required for the film industry.
The minister noted that developing modern studios and production facilities would not only strengthen Andhra Pradesh's position as a filming destination but also generate employment and boost tourism. He reiterated the government's commitment to creating a film-friendly ecosystem by providing necessary infrastructure and policy support.
