The poster of the FTPC India NTR Legendary Awards – 2026 was unveiled by former Union Minister and daughter of Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao (NTR), Daggubati Purandeswari, marking the 103rd birth anniversary celebrations of the legendary leader. The awards are being organised by the Film and Television Promotion Council of India (FTPC India) to honour eminent personalities from cinema, social service, education, and healthcare across the country.
On this occasion, Purandeswari congratulated FTPC India President Chaitanya Janga and General Secretary Vijay Varma Pakalapati for taking up a large-scale initiative to celebrate NTR’s legacy at the national level. She appreciated their efforts in promoting inspirational programmes that highlight NTR’s contributions to cinema and public life.
Speaking at the event, Chaitanya Janga said the organisation had earlier celebrated NTR’s centenary in a grand manner and earned recognition in the London Book of World Records. He added that this year’s celebrations will be held on May 28 at the Film Nagar Club in Hyderabad on an even bigger scale.
Vijay Varma Pakalapati stated that the event aims to spread awareness about NTR’s services in cinema, social welfare, and governance across all states. Distinguished personalities from various fields will be honoured.
Several prominent figures from cinema and social sectors attended the event, making it a significant cultural gathering celebrating NTR’s enduring legacy and national impact.
