Actress Alleges Harassment Over Film Role

A film actress has filed a complaint against a casting artist, Prasad, accusing him of harassment and exploitation under the pretext of providing movie opportunities. The actress alleged that he approached her with a promise of a supporting role in the film ఆకాశంలో ఒక తార (Akasamlo Oka Tara).

According to the complaint, although the film's shooting was completed between October and December 2025, Prasad failed to pay her ₹90,000 remuneration and ₹38,000 towards travel expenses. She further alleged that in February this year, he called her to a prominent film producer’s office in Banjara Hills, Hyderabad, regarding the pending payments.

The actress claimed that instead of clearing the dues, he threatened her, forcibly took her in a car, and behaved inappropriately. She alleged that he demanded personal favors in exchange for future film opportunities.

Based on the victim’s complaint, Banjara Hills police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the allegations. Further details are expected as the probe progresses
