A political controversy has erupted after TDP leader Soujanya Kumari reportedly cut a cake atop the Simhachalam hill. The incident sparked criticism from the opposition YSRCP, which alleged that temple traditions and the sanctity of the revered shrine were violated.
The YSRCP condemned the act, stating that such celebrations should not be held at a sacred pilgrimage site. The party demanded an explanation from Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu, Minister Nara Lokesh and Home Minister Vangalapudi Anitha over the incident.
