AP NDA Satisfaction Levels Decline

As the NDA alliance in Andhra Pradesh completes over two years in office, recent surveys and political assessments suggest a gradual decline in public satisfaction despite the government's claims of strong governance and welfare delivery. Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and Deputy Chief Minister Pawan Kalyan have highlighted development initiatives and welfare schemes during the alliance's anniversary celebrations, but analysts say public perception presents a mixed picture.

A survey by Unicorn Political Strategy reportedly estimates the government's satisfaction rating at around 59 percent, lower than the overwhelming mandate received in the last Assembly elections. Observers attribute the decline to delays in implementing key election promises under the "Super Six" agenda, including unemployment allowances, financial support for women, and social security measures.

Assessments also point to administrative and coordination challenges within the coalition. Concerns include uneven policy implementation, delays in decentralised development, and unresolved public grievances. Regional issues in districts such as Vizianagaram, Rayalaseema, and Nellore have further added to governance challenges.

Political observers also cite staffing shortages in key departments, delays in appointments, and coordination issues among ministers as factors affecting administrative efficiency. Analysts caution that unless governance delivery improves and pending promises are fulfilled, the alliance may face increasing political challenges ahead of local body polls and the 2029 elections.
