Andhra Advances AI-Powered Governance

Andhra Pradesh is accelerating its transition towards artificial intelligence-driven governance by integrating citizen services, data analytics, grievance redressal, and welfare delivery into a unified digital ecosystem. The initiative aims to make governance faster, more transparent, and citizen-centric through the responsible use of emerging technologies.

Nara Lokesh said AI is becoming the core of the state's governance system, enabling quicker decision-making and efficient public service delivery. He highlighted the success of the Mana Mitra WhatsApp-based platform, launched in January 2025, which now offers 1,126 government services across 35 departments and has served over 58 lakh citizens.

The AI-powered Public Grievance Redressal System allows citizens to submit complaints through text, voice, and images, while the AWARE platform provides predictive alerts by integrating weather, agriculture, health, and disaster management data.

The State Data Lake has connected 55 databases across 41 departments, helping identify pension irregularities, duplicate housing benefits, and ineligible welfare beneficiaries, resulting in significant savings for the government.

Officials said 98 AI use cases have been identified across departments, with 29 already operational. The government also plans to expand AI applications through AP One, the Family Benefit Management System, and other digital governance initiatives.
